The uses of lime are varied and many. Lime and its derivative products form a basic building block of every industrial economy. These products are consumed across Canada in applications such as drinking water treatment, waste water and sewage treatment, flue gas desulphurization, agriculture, manure treatment, soil stabilization and remediation, asphalt, oil and gas, power generation and building construction and are absolutely essential inputs for the production of steel, alumina, pulp, paper, uranium, gold, copper, chemicals and other critical materials.

Please see any of our member’s websites for detailed information on today’s uses of lime.
